The GWS-Desk Migration Package migrates a Joomla 1.0.xx - site to latest Joomla 1.5.x Stable version

The success of a Migration depends entirely on the availability of migration plugins for specific components used in present Joomla 1.0.xx version and/or the extension's availability at least in legacy mode (native preferred for security reasons) for Joomla 1.5.x. Also note that your template must be J1.5.x compliant. If not and you want to keep your current layout we need to code your present template to J.1.5 native. This requires additional funding and we can provide a quote separately for this job.

The migration process consists of multiple phases:

• Phase 1: Upgrade if needed your Joomla site to 1.0.15 if below version 1.0.13 (from 1.0.13 upwards we can migrate)
• Phase 2: Backup and download your entire site to one of our development servers. This is essential to safeguard your current site in case problems arise and it also won't affect your live site in the mean time
• Phase 3: Install com_migrator on the backup site and create the sql-site
• Phase 4: Creation of the new Joomla 1.5 site with the SQL-file uploaded to the new J1.5 directory and install both
• Phase 5: Move all media (images etc) from the J1.0.15 site to the new J.1.5 site
• Phase 6: Install all extensions as previous installed in J1.0.15 (if available in J1.5 version) and if the components offer no backup/restore for their data, the tables from the old site's database will be copied to the new site's database.
• Phase 7: Move all database tables and possible related images or other extension related media/document/etc files over to the new installation
• Phase 8: Testing
• Phase 9: Pack the site and restore on original server

If specific extensions are not available we can install replacement extensions with at least similar functionality. These installations will be charged separately and only upon request. If extensions need upgraded before the migration to make them compatible (for instance CB/VM/etc) we will charge separately for these tasks after reviewing your installed extensions on your present site.

Time to migrate: maximum 2 days depending on purchase time and timezone.

Upon Purchase you will receive an order confirmation and you get access to our Project Task & Management System located at http://gws-projects.com where you communicate with your Project Team. Note: We need full access to your ctrl-panel (cpanel/plesk) and super-admin and ftp!

Price for Migration 3 - 10 non core extensions (extensions not delivered with J1.0.xx-distribution pax US$ 540)
Price for Migration 10 - 20 non core extensions (extensions not delivered with J1.0.xx-distribution pax US$ 1,150)
