The Upgrade from Joomla 2.5.xx to Joomla 3.x is a (mini) migration

We will show you here what it takes to upgrade/migrate from Joomla 1.5 to Joomla 3.x (This process is identical for Joomla 1.6/1.7 migrations to Joomla 3.x)

We backup the site and restore on a development domain/site
We will audit compatibility with the new Joomla version of your extensions: Templates/Components/Modules/Plugins and if no alternatives are available for your site advise on alternatives
We check your content and remove outdated content (note sections will be replaced in Joomla 3.x with a nested category tree)
We empty all trash (menu/content/modules/etc)
We update those extensions that are compatible with Joomla 1.5 and Joomla 3.x (examples CB, Mijoshop, Breezingforms)
We remove any extensions (incl. templates ) that are not compatible with Joomla 3.x

Step I: Upgrade your Joomla 1.5.xx site to Joomlla 1.5.26

We will upgrade if applicable to latest Joomla 1.5.xx version to be able to run the migration.
A fresh Joomla verison 3.x will be installed in a subdirectory of your hosting account

STEP II: Install Joomla 3.x in a sub-directory of your Joomla 1.5.26 installation

A fresh Joomla verison 3.x will be installed in a subdirectory of your hosting account

STEP III: Installation of the migration script & Migrate

With the help of the SP Upgrade migration script we will migrate your site without affecting your Joomla present live site!:

Articles (along with their Sections and Categories)
Contacts
Web Links
News Feeds
Banners
Images
Menus
Modules

Most important with the migration is that you will keep the Same id's - Why is this so important ?

Google ranking is not affected
No broken internal links (e.g. within your articles)
No broken external links. Those are links from other domains to your site

STEP IV: Re-install scripts

In this phase we will install all new extensions, template(s) and menu navigation
